These Titan Chain diamond-pattern chains are great winter weather chains. If you live in an area where you're likely to get frequent snow and ice, these chains are perfect because they're durable and easy to mount. The links on these chains are thicker than the links on most other low-profile snow chains on the market, so they'll wear better and last longer. But they're still lightweight and compact, so they store in your vehicle nicely too. If you're more likely to see seriously icy conditions, you may want a chain with V-bar links that can really bite into the ice to give you maximum traction.
These chains are among the easiest and fastest to install because they have built-in tensioners that you can just pull taut to adjust the fit. These tensioners allow the chains to fit your tires, no matter the profile or wear pattern. And because the tensioners are built-in, you never have to worry about losing them like you might with other chains on the market.
If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.
We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.
You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.
Installing these chains is incredibly simple.
1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.
2. Spread the chain around the back of the tire.
3. Connect the ends of the cable, which will sit behind the tire.
4. Around front, connect the 2 ends of the yellow side chain using the green hook at the top of the tire.
5. At the bottom of the tire, feed the silver tensioning chain through the red channel bracket and pull it taut. Then run the tensioner through as many red clips along the side chain as you can, leaving room to still be able to stretch the hook across the tire.
6. Attach the hook to the side chain directly across from the last clip you ran the tensioner through. The hook should face away from your tire. Pull your vehicle forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the tension.
How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle
To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Color-coding and built-in tensioners ensure fast, easy installation and a tight fit.I have ordered many products from etrailer over the years. Customer service and technical assistance are always excellent, products are delivered promptly and as promised, and prices are fair. This time I ordered a set of tire chains for a Ram 3500 dually. Being from Texas I have zero experience with snow chains, but etrailer personnel made the selection and purchasing process easy. Montana here I come.
Came with repair links, really fast set up. Use them on a two wheel drive Ford 250 van. Went places that 4wd we're not able to go in icey work site conditions
Update after Installing chains on tires, easy to install, only wish rubber strap would be few inches longer to get connected at more of a straight acrossed pull for tension. LOL,Glad I bought them and feel better prepared for winter weather.
First of all, my order arrived 3 days earlier then expected! That’s great because I’m heading to PA for a couple weeks in the 2500 sprinter loaded with tools and having tire chains gives me a feeling of confidence.
I put the chain on one tire just to check fit. My driveway is pretty steep so it looks like the chain is a little loose, maybe on a level road it will be better.
The chains are heavy and appears to be a well made product. I’d like to say that I’m looking forward to using them, but a tall two wheel drive van in the snow is not my idea of a good time! At least I’m ready for whatever weather comes my way.
Purchased these for our service van here in NH. Been getting stuck in customer's driveways with snow & ice and had enough of it. Used them for first time yesterday to get out of my own driveway as it a slight incline & snowy so I had no traction. Got these on is about 10 minutes as it was first time. Back right out of driveway with no problem, removed in 5 minutes once back into dry pavement and I was on my way. Great product and definitely worth the purchase. Don't need them often but sure are a life saver when you do. Thank you etrailer!

Best investment Ive ever made. Only used a few times but are easy to get on and off and work great. Need to purchase another pair for my personal truck. Very pleased with these chains.
Fast delivery. Nice carrying case. Easy to install. Was looking for a tire chain that I could install with out moving vehicle. These are it. Got the idea to buy chains when seeing a semi with trailer stuck, driver put on chains and drove out. I have a 2wd pickup with posi and studded snow tires, it will go about anywhere, but with these chains I am not afraid of getting stuck.
I have not used these yet, purchased in case any of the half dozen annual snowstorms we get here are too much for just 4 wheel drive, and for the occasional trip up into the Colorado mountains. 2015 Nissan Frontier, tires are 265 70R16. Preliminary inspection when they arrived:
they appear to be well-made, medium-duty, and the included carrying bag seems like it should hold up well if not abused.
The color coding used for installation is just like the website video, and seems to be well thought out, one of the factors in the decision
to purchase these. I previously purchased a Tekonsha trailer brake controller from E-Trailer, and both times they shipped fast, stock
quality products, and seem to have excellent customer support if needed.
Did a trial install today in 3" snow with packed snow and ice on road. Chains did great. we'll see about deep snow when it happens. Definitely do a trial run to know what links you need and how it tightens. After initial install I drive 1 car length and adjusted yellow chain and rubber bungee. Then drove 75' and hooked bungee on farther. Drove 1 more for about 100' and did what would be my final adjustment on yellow chain and bungee. Drove at 30mph for a bit and they stayed tight. Oh and if you have a cell phone in your pocket leave it in the vehicle so u don't lose it in the snow like I almost did.
Selected this design to be self installed. Upon inspection and first road test continues to thrill, another stellar etrailer.com purchase. Super fast install time minimal road side exposure. Super fine quality materials and assembly. Sorry old school products, money better applied to newer technology. My ride 2005 Chevy 2500HD.
Selection, availability, price and delivery time were all Excellent. Will carry in my truck for security when there is snowy weather.

Unfortunately or luckily I havent had to use the chains. I do feel safe and comfortable that I have them with me.
I run these on my chevy express 2WD work van on the snowy days in the mountains of Colo.. I will put these on and take them off up to 3 times a day to get up steep driveways for service calls. They really make a difference and are very easy to install once you get the hang of it.
Incredibly fast service and follow through. Very customer oriented-(thanks George J.). I haven't used the chains yet, but will be ready when the snow falls. They look very well built and and come in it's own strong and durable case. Whether it's the nice note on the box to great instructions on the case, etrailer definitely provides great customer service!!
Very pleased with the product quality and excellent customer service. Within a day of placing the order, I received an email stating that shipping my chains would be delayed by a few days. Before I was able to respond to the email, I received a phone call from them offering other shipping options if I was in immediate need of them. I was very impressed with their follow up. Thank you!
Ordered a set myself that didn't fit at first. Bill did an awesome job helping process the return and get me this set which fit perfectly. Super quick delivery too. 2006 Tacoma. 245-75 r16 BFG all terrain tires. Will use them to get up to Powder Mountain in Utah in February!
Thanks Bill!
Very good product. Used several times up in Big Bear, California on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee. No issues with the installation and served it’s purpose perfectly
Nicely made. Color coded. Easy to install. Good pattern for both traction and steering.
Fantastic product; very helpful staff; fastest shipping on record. I placed the order on Wednesday, and found the package waiting for me on my porch Thursday evening. The folks at etrailer.com are beyond awesome! I highly recommend them!
Excellent product and service
Received today. I looked at them. That’s about it. Plan on trying to put them on soon for practice. I hope they work and last as good and long as others have stated. Time and snow will tell.
Just bought a second set, bought 1st set a month ago. Used them for the 1st time today. They saved my ... Really did the trick. The 1st one took about 5 mins to install the second one was less than 3 mins. Not your old fashioned tire chain
Thank you for your email. . They have worked OK except the rubber component that is at the end of the chain ripped out of the chain and are unusuable as there is no way to tighten the chain to itself. This has happened on only one set of chains. We bought two sets of 2 for our 4X4.
great!
Arrived quickly. Haven't used yet. But sure will be all as expected as I bought these chains based on positive reviews
Have not tried them yet but the order process and time for delivery was so easy!
George was very prompt and thorough with my questions about this order.
Great service !

These have built-in tensioners, but I definitely agree you should install on level ground. Once you pull forward a little bit you should retighten your chains for a snug fit.
